Rosacea Awareness Month is in full effect! We want to share with you a popular laser treatment we offer that can combat Rosacea’s deep pigments and a variety of other concerns that can cause redness such as acne scars, bruises, angiomas, Port Wine Stain and even warts.
Vbeam Perfecta
The Vbeam laser is excellent at targeting issues that relate to the body’s network of blood vessels making it the perfect treatment option for a condition like Rosacea. It can effectively reduce the appearance of telangiectasias (small broken capillaries within the dermis) but don’t worry, it can be used to tackle general facial redness as well, addressing concerns such as red acne scars and bruising— even post-treatment bruising caused by other procedures. It is a pulse-dye laser (PDL) that works by delivering an intense, but gentle burst of light into the skin which gets absorbed by the blood vessels in the dermis. Once that light hits, the vessels coagulate, collapse and are then reabsorbed and eliminated by the body as it completes its natural healing process (about 2-4 weeks following treatment).
The Gentle YAG laser can also be used in combination with the Vbeam due to its ability to grab slightly larger veins, giving the skin a nice, even appearance. This treatment can easily be combined with other treatments as well for patients looking for rejuvenation within the skin.
Fun Facts:
- This is a gentle treatment with very little downtime; patients can expect to experience mild swelling and redness following treatment, but makeup can even be applied immediately after if needed
