Biopsy Results
If you have a biopsy performed during your skin exam in our clinic, your sample(s) will be sent to an independent pathology laboratory for evaluation. Please note that pathology lab fees are separate from the fee billed by our office for your visit. The pathology lab will submit their charges directly to your insurance, and you will be responsible for any portion not covered by your plan. Once we receive your pathology results, they will be uploaded to your Patient Portal for faster, more efficient communication. If needed, a nurse will contact you directly with your results. If you have not received your results within a three-week period, please notify our office immediately.
If you have questions, you may send a message to the nursing staff through the Patient Portal without calling our direct line or leaving a voicemail.
Your Patient Portal is created when you complete your online medical history and patient registration. When your results are uploaded, you will receive an email notification from noreply@mypatientvisit.com. Click the link in the email to access myPatientVisit.com, log in, and select “myChart” from the top toolbar, then choose “Document Summary” to review your pathology report.
If you do not have internet access, please inform a nurse during your visit, and we will provide your biopsy results by phone and postal mail.
